Off to....

Seattle we will go, we will go, we will go; off to Seattle we will go, early Saturday morning. (See...to really make that work, you are supposed to sing it.)

That's right - Jason and I are off to Seattle Saturday morning for a blissful 8 days. By blissful I mean no work and no Bailey. Grandma is coming in tomorrow morning to babysit. Although I will miss Bailey tremendously, I know that she will be spoiled rotten by Grandma while I sleep late.

My vacation technically begins tomorrow. I am picking up Grandma at the airport at 10:30 tomorrow morning. As a belated birthday celebration (her birthday was yesterday), I am taking her to eat lunch and get a pedicure.

As for what our plans are in Seattle, Saturday through Tuesday we will be staying on Whidbey Island with Kathy & Phillip. Then Tuesday we are going to Seattle to stay downtown at the Westin. Emily is going to be gracious enough to cart us around in the evenings and on Friday. Of course, the upside for her is that she gets to see us. Hee, hee! We are giving her Thursday off as we are going to head to Victoria for the day/evening. That should be lots of fun. Then we plan to spend Saturday night until we leave on Sunday with my Aunt Annabel & Ron.

It will be a very busy (but fun) trip. I will be sure to give you all the details and all the pictures when I return. Until then...

Off to Seattle we will go, we will go, we will go; off to Seattle we will go, early Saturday morning.

Uncle Phil

On August 11th, Bailey finally got to meet her Uncle Phil and cousin Jaylen. They came to Houston for the weekend. On Saturday, I was shopping at the outlet mall with my friends so Jason and Phil got to have quality time with Bailey and Jaylen. They went to Splashpad and got to know each other. Sunday we were all together. We went to eat lunch at On the Border and then to the Downtown Aquarium for dinner. We really had a great time and Bailey finally warmed up enough to let Uncle Phil hold her. Even today, she still talks about going to see the fish and the tigers.
