Halloween & Other Things

The Sharp household has been very, very busy. And truth be told, there doesn't appear to be an end in sight. Before I get too caught up in all the things to come, let's talk about some fun things we've done lately - including Halloween.

Last Saturday, we attended a birthday party for Jordan. She is one of Bailey's Primrose Pals. They are so cute together. The party was at a bouncy place which is one of Bailey's new favorite things to do.

After the birthday party, we headed to the annual Halloween party of our friends' Jeff & Anita. It is a pumpkin carving party. Neither Jason nor I are very good carvers so we did the next best thing - a Potato Head Pumpkin. Bailey loved putting the pieces in and was so proud of her pumpkin. Her favorite thing to do at the party was play on the swing set with the other kids.

Sunday was a beautiful day here in Houston so we headed out to Dewberry Farm. Dewberry Farm is about 30 minutes from our house. It is a pumpkin patch that the owner's have expanded upon to include lots of fun things for kiddies. Although Jason and I thought Bailey was about 18 months too young to enjoy it to its fullest, she had a great time riding the corn train and looking at all the animals.

Halloween was a very eventful day for Bailey. She was very excited about having a Minnie Mouse costume. She was less excited about wearing the ears. Whatever made her change her mind happened before school Halloween morning. I was so relieved.

There were lots of fun events at school on Halloween. In the morning, they had a costume parade through all of the classrooms. In the afternoon, they had a Halloween classroom party. Jason and I were able to attend the classroom party. It's so cute to see all the kiddies she goes to school with.

Halloween night we had a block party with our neighbors. It started at 5:30 and there were hot dogs and games and music. The kids had so much fun playing. Then it was time to trick or treat. Minnie Mouse got her candy bag and went knocking on doors. Much to our surprise, she was not fearful at all. We even ran into Mickey Mouse (and of course had to take pictures). She did get tired after about 10 houses but she found new fun in handing out candy to those who came to trick or treat at our house. It was a great Halloween!
