Latest & Greatest

Hi everyone! Well, we have finally finished our annual SEC filing here at work. I am so excited. I hate the months of April and May. Everyone is all stressed out and working lots of overtime (meaning they are grumpy). But it's over and I can enjoy my job again. Yeah!

Grandma is on her way into town as I type this. She is coming to help take care of me as I have to get my wisdom teeth out tomorrow. I was very nervous about it until my wonderful Aunt Linda reminded me that it couldn't possibly be as bad as having a baby. Amen to that! Needless to say, I feel so much better about it now.

Bailey is almost 20 months. I can't believe it. Where did time go? Taking pictures is hard work with her anymore. (I promise some soon though.) The school bulletin board is posting pictures of the kids and their daddys for the month of June. It took almost 10 shots to get 2 I liked to submit to the school. Here is my favorite of the two of them. My heart swells seeing my man and my daughter having a moment. Amazing.

Speaking of babies, here is another glimpse of Baby Ritchie. He is definitely a "he". After three times hearing that, I think Kathy can finally believe it. A cute story about this picture...I was showing Bailey and telling her it was a baby. She pointed right to the picture and said "head". I sometimes have a hard time seeing all that clearly. I am amazed that she was able to. We are so looking forward to his arrival. For now, we are busy planning a baby shower.

Ok...I'm off to get Grandma and spend the afternoon with her. Everyone think of me tomorrow at 10 am. Ta ta for now!

Birthday Wishes for the Weekend

On this holiday weekend, birthday wishes are in order. My wonderful husband celebrates his birthday on Monday. I am not quite sure what his birthday wishes are yet but I'm sure we'll find something fun to do. Bailey and I are anxious to give him his birthday goodies. It's hard to find the perfect gift for a perfect daddy.

Aside from a birthday celebration, we are also planning for some fun family time as well as a date to see Spider Man 3. I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful holiday weekend.

Nail Biting

I've spent most of my afternoon wondering...will Derek and Meredith break up and is Cristina going to marry Burke? The saddest part is that it's likely that neither of my questions will be answered tonight. My hope is that one doesn't break up and the other gets married. I'm all about couples! I want everyone to be happy couples. Life doesn't always have a happy ending but Grey's Anatomy should. It's bad enough that we are going to see the departure of Addison. How much more sadness should we viewers endure? Enjoy the finale. I'm sure we'll all be talking about it tomorrow.

Congratulations are in Order

Congratulations are in order today. Christian will earn his law degree at the 2 pm graduation ceremony. His journey has been long but will be well worth it. I wish I could say there will be rest for him now but he must immediately begin his preparation for the BAR exam which is at the end of July. Congratulations, Christian! Enjoy your accomplishment - and a few beers to boot. Go Cougs!

Happy Birthday to Me

It's my birthday - the big 3-4! I love my birthday. Truth be told, I love all birthdays. Celebrating someone and making them feel special should be done everyday. Since we are all too busy to do that, I'll settle for the one day a year when we get to let it be totally about us. The gifts are an added bonus as well.

In true celebratory fashion, I am getting a 90-minute massage at 4 pm today. Then Jason, Bailey, and I are going to go out for pizza and get ice cream. We are trying to make it our family birthday celebration tradition. Besides, what is better than pizza and ice cream???

Thanks for all the gifts and cards and calls. I appreciate each of you who have remembered me on my special day. I'm so lucky to have all of you in my life.

New Blog - Finally

Hi everyone. It's been a couple weeks but life has been busy. Work is busy, home is busy. Free time has not been in my vocabulary lately. But here I am - finally.

Two weekends ago Bailey and I had a play date with Brayden (a friend from Bailey's school) and his mom Mary. We went to the zoo and then to eat pizza. It was so much fun. I so enjoyed being able to gab with another mom and share ideas and ways to do things with our kids. The best part was that it seemed that all the baby animals were out. We got to see a baby giraffe as well as Mac, the new baby Elephant. We had a really great time. I hope we do that again very soon.

Last weekend was the Spring Fling at Bailey's school. It was a fundraiser with games and food. Bailey was a little confused and overwhelmed at first. I think her favorite part was playing on the playground that she gets to play on every day. She liked the skee ball and plinko games but that was about it. We met up with Brayden and they spent a lot of time playing while Jason and I visited with Brayden's mom and dad.


I wish I had more to report but as busy as we've been, I find that we aren't doing lots of worth reporting. So that begs the question...why am I so busy?
